Every DMTx journey is supported by at least four guides — two medically trained — plus a wider team of operations, research, and advisory professionals.
In addition to Daniel McQueen, the DMTx Project team is comprised of mental health, spiritual health, and medical professionals. Our team is "guided-led" and "doctor-supervised," meaning we cover all the fronts of the safest DMTx experiences possible. While we work under a "spiritual use" non-profit church model, we ensure the highest standards of care. Each client is reviewed by at least 4 professionals in the screening and preparation stage, and to determine what level of support best fits. If additional experience is required before a DMTx session can be offered, training protocols are considered. Participating in the DMTx Project creates a very individualized experience with a lot of support.
The DMTx journey itself is supported by a minimum of four guides, two of which are medically trained, to support safety and proper psycho-spiritual support during your experience. In addition to this team, we have a number of advanced practitioners and operations professionals working behind the scenes to assist you on your journey, from arriving and leaving Boulder, Colorado, to launching through the multiverse.

As a DMTx Psychonaut, you will be exclusively working with Daniel McQueen, MA — lead DMTx guide, psychedelic specialist, and chaplain. He has directly led over 30 DMTx journeys in skillful, individually guided sessions. He guides journeyers using advanced Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy techniques — a somatic, trauma-informed, arts-integrated, and transpersonal psychedelic therapy practice that he has been teaching psychedelic guides for the last 14 years. Daniel is supported by a team of guides, medical providers, and an awesome staff that keeps our ship sailing.
Daniel has a master's degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and is a psychedelic specialist with nearly 30 years of psychedelic experience, 17 years as a professional guide. He specializes in treating acute cases of PTSD, generational trauma, and is also interested in using psychedelic medicines for critical problem solving.
He is the author of Psychedelic Cannabis: Unique Blends and Therapeutic Techniques to Treat Trauma and Transform Consciousness, and started an international movement of practitioners using cannabis as a classic psychedelic in professional settings. He is currently working on his second book, Safe Travels: A Psychedelic Community Survival Guide, exploring safe psychedelic use practices and community sustainability agreements.
Daniel is the husband of Alison McQueen, MA, LPC, ATR-BC, ACS, Licensed Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitator, and Clinical Director of the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness. He is the father of two glorious children, to whom he devotes his work in the world.
Daniel recognizes it is a privilege beyond belief that he can openly practice as a psychedelic guide in his hometown.

Dr. Joe Cohen is the founder of Holos Health in Boulder, Colorado, a practice specializing in cannabinoid therapy, functional medicine, and psilocybin treatments — including therapeutic microdosing protocols and high-dose therapy for veterans and first responders with PTSD. Dr. Cohen is a functional medicine specialist, and holds a Doctor of Osteopathy degree, completed his residency at Bridgeport Hospital with Yale University School of Medicine, and brings 30 years of medical experience — including delivering nearly 10,000 babies — to his integrative practice.
